Stages, Phases and even some Crazies

A trunk show by Vivian Benton

Vivian has a lot of quilts to show, and in order to present them she needed a way to sort through them. She decided a good way would be to categorize them by “stages, phases, and even crazies.” She believes you’ll readily identify with these categories as we all go through stages and phases in our quilting and often jump on the “crazy” bandwagon‐‐‐even though we don’t think they’re crazy at the time. Vivian will be showing a series of quilts made during her “African fabrics” phase, her “log cabin” phase, her “drunkard’s path” phase, some made during her “sashiko” stage, her “fusible web” stage, her “Swarovski crystal” stage, and many, many more. She’ll also provide some tips along the way and share some techniques she loves and those she’d probably rather stay away from.
